Clark Kent: I've wanted to make a Clark Kent for a long time, but wanted a figure that looked like he could actually be Superman underneath that snazzy grey suit. That meant that a simple Two Face head swap wasn't going to produce a figure that exhibited the proper bulk that a Clark Kent figure needed. I cut a Mattel Superman and a Mattel Two Face in half at the waist and glued the Superman top half to the Two Face bottom half. After removing the cape I filled in the appropriate areas with Gepaxio and sculpted the suit details over the Superman torso and arms. The lower portion of the jacket and the shirt cuffs are thin sheet styrene wrapped around and glued to the appropriate areas. The glasses are clear vinal (thanks Casimir!) and styrene strips with the edges painted black. I'm fairly happy with this guy regardless of the fact that he's little more than a man in a suit and I think he's a pretty accurate representation of the animated alter ego of Superman. |
