Batman Beyond: Boy did Hasbro drop the ball with this guy. I've seen tons of customs of future Bats using a Hasbro Nightwing body, but I was never inspired to do one on my own. When Mattel came out with their animated Nightwing the idea of making a future Bats sort of seeded itself in the back of my head. I saw some Mission Masters figs on sale at Wal- Mart for $2 and thought that the head from one of the future Bats variations was a vast improvement over some of the previous offerings and decided that for $2 it was time to give him a shot. His belt buckle was cut from the same fig that provided the head and the utility portion of the belt is cut styrene. The glove scallops are cut from that clear blue Batman Beyond figure and the symbol is decoupage. I'm really happy with the turnout on this guy, but there's something that's still not right about the face. I think it needs to be a bit wider and more blocky. |
