| Toyman: After mentioning in a forum post that I had shelved an attempt at a Toyman custom made from a Penguin body and an unfinished original head sculpt, Casimir (the Man the Myth) contacted me and expressed interest in seeing the failed attempt. After sending him a photo, he expressed interest in trying to save the piece. Suffice it to say he really pulled this thing off. I was very impressed with what he was able to accomplish and absoloutly overjoyed when I recieved my own copy in the mail! Casimir not only made a fantastic figure here- he made 2! I was really disapointed when I reached a point where I felt that my attempt at a Toyman had failed because I really wanted the figure. Well, thanks to the unprecedented talents (and generosity- he not only made a casting of the finished head, but fixed and finished the body for my figure AND made a completely new one so that we could both have a copy!) of Casimir I have one! Pictured on this page is the unfinished attempt that I sent Casimir and his brilliant finish. The only change I made to his finished product (with his permission, of course) was to add the black lining around the whites of Toymans eyes- everything else is pure Casimir- and I'm proud to own this piece! amulet. |
